St Augustine's Highbury Parochial Church Council (PCC)

 

 

'Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.'  (1 Corinthians 11:1).

In word and action, members of the PCC seek to set an example for all the church family, by following the example of Jesus.

 

The PCC's activities include:

Co-operation with the vicar in promoting in the parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

We are called to be:

Pastoral - Caring for individuals

Evangelistic - Telling people the Good News of Jesus Christ and inviting them to accept it

Social - Helping the poorer members of society

Ecumenical - Encouraging good relationships with other Christian denominations
