Messy Church

Our next Messy Church afternoon will be on Sunday February 5th from 4.00 - 5.30 pm

Messy Church is a new  venture for us.   We hope that having a more informal event on a Sunday afternoon will connect with people in our local community who wouldn't find it easy to come along to a church service on Sunday morning.

We had our first session on a Sunday afternoon on December 4th, with a Get-Ready-For-Christmas theme.   Yes, it was messy! We made mince pies, and pizza, which we ate together.  There were different crafts to do, table tennis, and a group game,  and we spent a short time thinking about the meaning of Christmas.

We had another afternoon on Sunday 8th January, when we made stained glass bisuits, fruit salad, and though about how Jesus grew up in his family.

It was lovely to get to know some of our nearby neighbours, and hope that this will become a monthly fixture in 2012.
