What is Hippo Club?
A big, friendly, busy group for pre-school children and their carers
 Thursday mornings during term time from 10am to 12 noon
Run by a team of volunteers from the church some of whom have young children of their own.
We try to create a place where children can play safely, and where adults can find friendship and a supportive community.
It’s often noisy too…

What happens?
Playtime for the children, chat for the grownups, refreshments for everyone.
10.15am craft activity
11.40am to 12noon song time

Our new space is warm and bright, with plenty of room for all the toys and activities. There is a special areas for babies, for reading, craft, home corner, slides and ride-on toys. From time to time the activities may have a Christian content, for example at Christmas and Easter. Members are free to join in or not, as they feel comfortable
What does it cost?
The weekly all-inclusive charge is currently £2 per family.
What about membership?
Because of the popularity of Hippo Club, we had to introduce a membership scheme. This helps to keep Hippo Club both fun and safe. Once a child is a member, he or she is free to drop in to the group as often or as little as they wish. Anyone is welcome to drop in for a one-off taster session, but will then need to wait for a membership place
